Hey Eli- It's been a long time so I'm checking in. I really like this little painting... nice colors, comp and still simple. You have a fun sketchbook as always. Hope you're doing well in SF.
:D i know what you mean man and it is a very fine line :) i wish these things came a lot easier to me, but i guess part of the fun is finding simple but meaningful designs that serve a purpose. intricately simple if there's even such a thing. maybe i don't even know what i'm talking about :D!! happy new year from vancouver!
I figured it was about time to add to the robot saga. Painting robots is fun and easy, give it a try!

really clean man, the color variation within the shadows are quite good. really different from the last robot.
sadly i find robots hard to draw :( but on the flip side this is a really cool robot :D. i like the use of red as smoke it really catches the eye.
