These are people. I've been sitting on these for a few weeks now and I thought it was time to put them out in the world. I've taken to liking the simple art of the gesture lately. All of these are very fast (some less than 10 seconds, and no more than a minute or two), and I've really enjoyed the catharsis of this whole experiment. Watching people is something of a pastime for me, as it is for many visual artists and sociologists of course, and you really get to know these people in a very intimate way. I get to observe people in their natural state when they're at their most vulnerable. Most don't realize they're being sketched and if it so happens that they become wise to me I simply move on to the next person and all is forgotten. Here's to the simple things in life. Enjoy!
