I plan on making some prints of my sketchbook work available, but I'm not sure where to start.
I thought I could ask my loyal followers for a little help on this one before I make any decisions. A few prints will surely make it into my shows but I'd like to know what you think. For now though, these pieces are pretty recent sketchbook entries. I've been painting a lot more and find the spontaneity of just going into the pages to be therapeutic. I usually just let the pages evolve into their final state with no preconceived concept in mind. A bit like little children, the older they get, the more of yourself rubs off on them and comes through as they mature. I hope you enjoy these, cheers!

Another round of sketches from the trusty Moleskine. Though I do have a backlog of work to show I thought I'd start with these. The lower image is of amazing photographer Kristyn Stroble, a dear friend and wife of author Nina LaCour. I'll throw some more up soon. Don't forget, my solo show In Transit at Cafe Royale is in a month and a half. Cheers!

As per Frank Lin's request, the beginning of a series. Let's see what comes of this little experiment. These don't take long since they're pretty small and I'm using a very limited palette as well as Photoshop. A good way to start the day off I think.

Finished this up in a few hours. I find it educational to paint old war photos. Something about the subject matter lends itself well to the way I prefer to paint. Add a little Photoshop to the mix and you've hopefully learned something about value and the like. Just sit down and paint, it's therapeutic. Cheers everyone!
